Seppo Yrjölä

Seppo Yrjölä holds a D.Sc. degree (Technology) in Telecommunication Engineering and a D.Sc. degree (Economics and Business Administration) in International Business from the University of Oulu. He is a Full Professor (Part-time) at the Faculty of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering, University of Oulu in the field of techno-economics of future wireless communications services and networks. His current mission is to digitalize the 70% of the GDP that has not yet been digitalized in order to drive massive productivity growth and new business. With roots in engineering and economics, he explores how and why platform-based ecosystemic business models can emerge in future wireless systems in a sustainable and human-centric way.
