International Conference on 6G Networking (6GNet 2023)

The 2nd International Conference on 6G Networking (6GNet 2023) is a prestigious annual gathering set to be held in Paris, France, from October 18 to 20, 2023. This event convenes leading figures from academia, industry, and policy-making circles to discuss the challenges and opportunities associated with 6G networking. Topics to be addressed range from digital inclusion and security resilience to advances in network automation and service design. The conference aims to serve as a focal point for thought leadership, where the delineation between fixed and mobile infrastructures is increasingly blurring, fueled by the innovations carried forth by 5G technologies and beyond.

Representing the University of Oulu’s 6G Flagship programme at this year’s conference will be Professor Ari Pouttu, Vice Director of the 6G Flagship. His keynote, on October 18th, is titled “6G System Architecture: A Service of Services Vision.” The talk will delve into how emerging technologies like network function virtualization, software-defined networking, and artificial intelligence can be integrated into the 6G landscape. Professor Pouttu will offer insights into how these technologies can contribute to the development of a more flexible and efficient 6G network.
