BalkanCom 2025

June 17 - June 20

The Balkan Communications Conference (Balkancom 2025) will take place from 17 to 20 June 2025 in Piraeus, Greece. This annual event brings together leading researchers, academics, and industry professionals to discuss advancements in communication systems and related technologies. It serves as a platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration in the rapidly evolving field of communications.

Professor Matti Latva-aho, Director of the 6G Flagship, will deliver a keynote address titled “6G and Beyond: Transforming Connectivity for Resilience, Sustainability, and Intelligence,” which will focus on:

  • The evolution of IMT-2030 and the transformative use cases enabled by 6G capabilities.
  • Challenges in building resilient, secure, and sustainable networks capable of withstanding disruptions like natural disasters and cyber threats.
  • The integration of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with technological innovation.

Drawing from Finland’s globally recognised 6G research, the keynote will address critical questions about spectrum regulation, ecosystem evolution, and enabling ubiquitous digital services.
