Biography of
Jussi Haapola
Jussi Haapola, Adjunct Professor, received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Oulu, Finland, in 2002 from Physical Sciences and in 2010 from Telecommunications Engineering, respectively. He joined Centre for Wireless Communications at the University of Oulu in 2001, where he currently works as a Senior Research Fellow. In 2011 he made a Post-doctoral Fellow visit in Tohoku University, Sendai, Japan and between 2012 and 2015 he also worked for University of Oulu Research Institute Japan – CWC-Nippon Ltd as Deputy manager. His Title of Docent field is heterogeneous IoT and cellular systems for vertical applications. He has contributed to IEEE and ETSI telecommunications standardisation on local, personal, and body area networks. He is currently the coordinator of Horizon Europe project 6G-XR (No. 101096838).
